A resume is a shorter document that only contains information related to the job you are applying for. A CV (Latin shorthand for curriculum vitae) is a longer document that shares your entire work history and accomplishments. Resumes are the preferred document for applications in Australia; however, if the role you are applying for would like a CV, let us know, and we can tailor your documents to suit. If I'm not happy, do you offer refunds?
Yes, we give refunds as per the ACCC guidelines. But because we work with you to get your feedback every step of the way, we've always had very satisfied clients! If I change my mind about using a professional resume writer, do I get my money back?
We'll refund you the full amount if work has yet to start. If it has, we'll refund you a partial sum based on the amount of work already completed and any transaction fees incurred by our payment services providers. Can you guarantee I'll get a job if I hire you to write my resume?
We can't guarantee you a job because we can't control the application process, such as the interview panel and recruitment checks. This is a hot button topic when it comes to resumes and job applications. While ATS compliance is relevant to some industries and niches, it's a little more nuanced than just tell you that of COURSE we will create an 'ATS compliant resume'. Often, that's used as a marketing buzz word, with little insight into the actual back end of recruitment process and ATS use. An ATS is basically a digital filing cabinet. An ATS is used differently in Australia to other countries but often is marketed here the same. e are aware of ATS and take this into account when designing layouts and presenting information, but it's not as dire as made out to be! We're always willing to discuss this with you - we want you to feel confident in the work you engage. So, if you have any questions, your writer will be able to answer them or you are always welcome to contact us. How does this process work?
Our process is straightforward. After we receive your enquiry, our writers will call or email you to provide feedback on your current resume if you wish. Then, you can either purchase a service online or have us issue you an invoice for a custom package. One that payment is received, your writer will book a 30 minute consultation to discuss your career history and job application. Drafts of your documents will be emailed to you for review, and you can talk through any changes you would like during a 15 minute feedback call. Once those revisions are made, the final documents will be emailed to you - ready for submission! How do I get started?
How long until my resume is ready?
Usually, resumes take 5 business days to write from the time you make a purchase or pay your invoice. We use this time to review your request, call you for your 30 minute consultation, write the resume, review the draft with you over the phone, make any final revisions and then email you the final document. Phew! If you require other documents, or engage a suite of services this may increase the timeframe. Your writer would discuss this with you at the time of booking, and you would create a game plan together. If you require an application sooner than this, contact us using our online form, and we will let you know if we have availability to complete your work faster. I need a resume right away! How quickly can you help?
If you need assistance with less than 3 days' notice, please get in touch with us here. If we have availability to complete your work faster while maintaining the top-quality services we offer, we will let you know. Please note that all fast turnarounds incur a 25% rush fee. What do I need to give you to start writing?
We'll need your resume and the information about the job you are applying for. If you don't have a resume or yours is very old, we have a form you can fill out that gives us the key information about your work history, qualifications, skills and achievements. Then, we spend time on the phone with you to discuss your form and draw out as much extra information as we can! How many revisions are included in the price?
As many as you need! However, our process is designed to save you time, so we find that most of our clients are happy with their documents and only need minor changes after the first draft. Are your resume writers located in Australia?
We are a proud to be an Australian, veteran owned business that hires Australian resume writers. Our team are spread across different states and territories and between them, they have experience in a range of industries and career stages. How do I talk to my writer? Can we meet in person?
Our writers are located all over Australia and can be contacted by email, telephone or video conference. We do not offer face-to-face meetings at this time. Are your writers qualified?
We have an intensive recruitment process, and each of our writers is chosen to join our team for their unique experiences and qualifications. Some have certifications in resume writing; others have tertiary qualifications in human resources or have worked in recruitment for many years. Regardless of their experience, before they start writing with us, each writer completes training and coaching to enhance their skills and ensure they have a base level of knowledge across key industries. We also have monthly workshops to discuss industry changes, improve our writing and complete quality assurance checks. Our successful approach is evident by the wonderful testimonials left by many happy clients we have worked with. How do you keep my information safe?
We take information security very seriously and have a range of ways we protect your personal information. For full details, please read our Privacy Policy. Also… what is Key Word Optimisation? Do you do this?
Key Word Optimisation means that your documents should use relevant words and phrases to the job and industry. For example, a job in retail would include terms such as POS and EFTPOS experience, customer service and merchandising. A role as a medical receptionist has come similar skills to general recpetion but there are key differences. To capture these, we would specific key words relevant to the medical reception role, as well as phrases such as maintaining medical records, patience experience and appointment booking. One would refer to 'clients' and the other 'patients'. Every document we write includes the relevant key words you need, while keeping it readable for the person at the other end! Can I edit my documents?
Yes, all documents are emailed to you in Word and PDF formats so you can update them anytime! I'm coming back to work but have a gap in my career - can you help?
Yes, we can. No matter the reason for your gap in work history, our team is trained to create documents that showcase your achievements and skills, while answering any questions recruiters have about your employment gap confidentially and appropriately. |
