What's the difference between a resume and a CV? Which one do I need?A resume is a shorter document that only contains information related to the job you are applying for. A CV (Latin shorthand for curriculum vitae) is a longer document that shares your entire work history and accomplishments. Resumes are the preferred document for applications in Australia; however, if the role you are applying for would like a CV, let us know, and we can tailor your documents to suit.

What is an ATS compliant resume? Can you help me with this? This is a hot button topic when it comes to resumes and job applications. While ATS compliance is relevant to some industries and niches, it's a little more nuanced than just tell you that OF COURSE we will create an 'ATS compliant resume'. Often, that's used as a marketing buzz word, with little insight into the actual back end of recruitment process and ATS use. An ATS is basically a digital filing cabinet. An ATS is used differently in Australia to other countries but often is marketed here the same. Is it the big bad monster under the bed it's made out to be? No. We are aware of ATS and take this into account when designing layouts and presenting information, but it's not as dire as it's often made out to be! We're always willing to discuss this with you - we want you to feel confident in the work you engage. So, if you have any questions, your writer will be able to answer them or you are always welcome to contact us.
-

Drafts of your documents will be emailed to you for review within 5 business days, and you can talk through any changes you would like during a 15 minute feedback call. Once those revisions are made, the final documents will be emailed to you - ready for submission!
-

If you don't have a resume or yours is very old, we have a form you can fill out that gives us the key information about your work history, qualifications, skills and achievements. Then, we spend time on the phone with you to discuss your form and draw out as much extra information as we can! We also have supporting documents we can provide that will help you prepare your STAR examples for written applications, and brainstorm any metrics needed.
-
How many revisions are included, in the price? The common catch-cry is 'unlimited revisions', but our approach is different. To capture these, we would specific key words relevant to the medical reception role, as well as phrases such as maintaining medical records, patience experience and appointment booking. One would refer to 'clients' and the other 'patients'. Every document we write includes the relevant key words you need, while keeping it readable for the person at the other end!
