Urgent-Important Matrix If you're a list lover who feels like you're in an endless game of "whack-a-mole" with tasks, the Four Quadrants method, made famous by U.S. President Eisenhower, is worth a try. By sorting tasks based on urgency and importance, you can identify what needs your immediate attention. That client presentation due this afternoon? Urgent and Important. Responding to an email about Mark's missing lunch? Not important and definitely not urgent.
